Little L’s mom called me to come and do his one-year session. I rang the bell, and his sweet face peeked out at me from the window next to the door. I stepped into the foyer, and he was in my arms before I could even take off my coat! We had a good time together, playing in his playroom and bedroom before taking advantage of the beautiful light (and smooth floors that are perfect for fire trucks!) in the dining room.

D and P, thanks for waiting patiently for me to post this sneak peek. It won’t be long before your gallery is ready!

Oh Baby! | [Chester County Newborn Photographer]

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog! Something had to give during the last-minute holiday rush to edit, proof, order, and deliver orders, and the blog was it!

But I can’t move on and post 2010 sessions until you’ve met little H. You met his parents back when we did his mom’s maternity session.

This first image was a request from Dad. Shortly after H-man’s birth, they received an entire box of these candy bars, and we really wanted to incorporate them.

This next photo is also meaningful for their family. The wood chest is from Dad’s side, and the blanket is from Mom’s side.

And of course, we had to get some shots with Mom and Dad themselves.

A and C, it was so wonderful to meet your new addition, and to work with you again. Happy New Year!

I had such a fun time with this little man last weekend! I know his dad from the Chester County Camera Club, and I was excited when they invited me to photograph D.

He’s quite the talented pianist! (Well, okay, not quite yet, but I know he will be someday.)

Then we set up the backdrop and worked with my new gray paper. I love the way it makes his red hair pop.

C family, thank you for inviting me to photograph your sweet boy. I’ll be in touch soon with your gallery!

Blue & Brown | [Chester County Child Photographer]

When I rang the bell at the P house on Sunday afternoon, four-year-old Mr. Brown Eyes opened the door and let me in. He was happy to show me his huge stash of Halloween candy, and he couldn’t wait to show me his bike with training wheels that he’d gotten from his big brother. And then I got out my camera and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to capture a picture of his face as he ran away from me! Ha! But don’t worry—I managed to have the last laugh. :)

Now Mr. Blue Eyes, on the other hand, had no problem whatsoever hamming it up for the camera. He did everything I asked, and even asked me to take a few photos that he thought would be particularly funny. (Don’t worry, Mom—I won’t be sharing those here!)

We had beautiful weather and we took full advantage of it, playing in the leaves and on the swingset.
