I just returned from a two-week trip to Minnesota, where I worked a little bit, vacationed a little bit, photographed a little bit, and hung out with my family a whole lot! I really enjoyed spending time with my sister’s three kids, and I even talked them into doing a little mini session.
A is 13, and he’s smart, sensitive, and funny. Except when he turns on the seat heater in your car for the millionth time on an 85-degree day! Okay, even then he’s pretty funny.
C is 10, and she’s every bit a tween. She wasn’t too happy with the shirt her mom chose for our session, so she added the hat and glasses to make the look her own. I think she looks great, and it was so much fun to take her photo.
And L is six. We made sure to get this session in now because one of those front teeth is loose. Next time I see her, she won’t look like a little kid anymore. Instead, she’ll have a gap-toothed smile or maybe even the beginnings of her permanent teeth (*sniff!*)! But somehow, I think she’ll remain just as chatty and goofy as she is now.
You know when you’re in a restaurant and they seat you right next to the big, loud group? Well, last week I was part of “that group.” On the last night before I left town, I went to dinner with my mom, her two sisters, my sister, and the rest of the girls in the family. There were nine of us, and we had a great time laughing, talking, laughing, reminiscing, and laughing. Did I mention that there was laughing?
Here’s a snapshot of Mom, me, and my sister. I don’t remember the last time the three of us were in a photo together!
And now that I’m home, I’m working hard getting ready for the busy fall and holiday season. My calendar is filling up, and there are only a few spots left in 2009! I can hardly believe it! If you’re interested in an early November session, the time to call is now!
