Tiny Dancer | [Chester County Newborn Photographer]

I recently met Miss E, who was just two weeks old. When I asked her mama whether I should bring out the tutu she said, “Absolutely!” And E obliged us with this perfect pose. I was also able to use my new green blanket, which coordinated perfectly with E’s room and their house overall. And of course, I can never resist taking photos of the “first” baby. In this case, his name is Avocado, or ‘Cado for short. The green theme continues!

Enjoy this little peek, L family!

Ch-ch-ch-changes | [Chester County Children’s Photographer]

It’s been rather quiet around here for the last month or so, but that’s only because I’ve been working behind the scenes! The site’s “wrapper” has changed, but so has its underlying structure. Now instead of having a website and a blog, I’ve combined them into a “blogsite.” Which means you can get to my portfolio through the menu at the top of the page, and there’s no need to leave and go to a separate site! And I’m all set with Twitter and Facebook too—be sure to click that new Like button. 🙂

And one more new feature . . . did you know that you can subscribe to the blog and receive all the new posts in your email? Well you can—just click the Subscribe tab in the upper left corner!

Feel free to look around and kick the tires a bit! Let me know if you spot anything that’s amiss, or if you see any typos (I hate typos!).

Of course, a blog post isn’t complete without some images. I’ve been inspired by some love-themed photos I’ve seen on Facebook this month, so I decided to create a few of my own yesterday. I had a little helper, and I had to capture a photo of her too! She was awfully curious about the whole operation, and she just couldn’t believe I wasn’t actually *eating* the food! Ha! Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody, and a happy Valentine birthday to my dad!

Oh What Fun! | [Chester County Child Photographer]

The front of my holiday card says it all—what a fun year it’s been for Sheila Y Photography! I met lots of new clients, and got to spend more time with past clients. It’s unbelievable how fast the time passes and the kids grow!

My husband (that’s him in the photos, in case you hadn’t guessed!) and I are headed out of town for the holidays. But I wanted to take a moment to thank you for stopping by here, and for inviting me to share the story of your family’s life. It may seem like we’re just taking photographs, but it truly is an honor for me to document the personalities, the smiles, the fun, and even the tears.

Over the next week or so, I hope you have the opportunity to slow down and just take it all in. And don’t forget to take a lot of photos! I look forward to working with you in the new year. Merry Christmas!
