Blissful | [Philadelphia Area Maternity Photographer]

We had gorgeous weather for this maternity session last week. Spring has sprung—hooray! A and I spent most of the session on our own, and then R joined us for some shots too. I love it when dads participate in maternity sessions because it gives us a wider variety of images and because I love capturing the bond between these two people who will soon become three. Here are just a few of the beautiful photos we captured.

A and R, I can’t wait to meet your little one in a few months, and I’ll be in touch soon with your gallery!

Growing Up | [Philadelphia Baby Photographer]

It always amazes me how babies grow. I recently went back to visit Miss R, who was featured here back when I took her newborn photos. In fact, here’s a shot from that session:

And here’s what she looks like now—I just love these comparison shots!

We put her in all different situations to take her photos, but I think hanging out with her mom was one of her favorites. Can you blame her? How beautiful is she?!

And finally, here’s one that I just love. No smile, but there’s something about her eyes and the way she’s looking at the camera that just pulls me in.

R and E, it was great seeing you again! I can only imagine how much R will grow between now and her one year session—I’m looking forward to it!

Sunday Project | [Chester County Photographer]

A few weeks ago, The Pioneer Woman posted a recipe for homemade glazed doughnuts on her cooking site. My friend Mary suggested that a few of us get together and try our hand at making them. Unfortunately, our other friend Pat was sick and couldn’t make it, but she reaped the rewards when Mary delivered some to her house.

We documented the whole process; here’s the rolling out, cutting, and rising process.

After they were fried, we finished them in a variety of ways: glazed, cinnamon sugar, chocolate frosted, and glazed with drizzles of chocolate. They were yummy!

And finally . . . this is what my kitchen looked like when it was all said and done. Yikes! Thankfully, the cleanup was pretty easy.

What a fun day! If you think I’ve put on a few pounds the next time you see me, now you know why!

Betsy Barron - YUM-MY! That is a great shoot idea, and you can eat the result! I knew I was friends with you guys for a reason – you’re smart cookies! Great shots – esp the one of the kitchen post mortem.

Wow | [Chester County Senior Photographer]

All I can say is wow. Just look at how beautiful this senior is! She and I met up last weekend at a local historic mansion, and we really made the most of the wonderful environment. And this is only half the session! Stay tuned . . . we’re meeting up in a few weeks for the outdoor portion. Cross your fingers that some of this snow will have melted by then!
