Chester County Family Photographer | M Family

My husband and I often spend time with the M family—they’re good friends of ours—but this time, I brought my camera! We’ve known them since before Miss K was born, and we even rented a beach house with them last summer. Just ask Mr. M about the smoked Gouda grits that we ate! Okay, I guess you kinda had to be there for that one . . . 🙂

I just love this location—it provides so many various backdrops, and we even managed to capture some fall color. I think there were only two or three trees that were turning, and the one on the far side of the pond was a perfect complement to Miss K. We really captured some beautiful images.

But the best part of this session was after we had finished the photos and the sun had set—we went back to their house, and they fed me dinner! 😉

Chester County Senior Photographer | Class of 2015

I don’t even know where to begin with this post! You see, the beautiful young woman in these photos is my niece and was the flower girl in my wedding (and this guy was the ring bearer). And now she’s all grown up!

Last summer, she went on a two-week vacation with us, and it was really great to spend lots of time with her and get to know her better. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s also smart, kind, funny and a good athlete—the whole package.

She lives a few hours away, but was in Chester County for a wedding so we took the opportunity to make some great images in and around Downingtown. We were in the park and near the creek, we played in the leaves, and generally just had a fun time.

When we got in the car to head back to my house, the sun was just setting and the sky was gorgeous. We got off the highway at our exit, and I asked my sister-in-law to turn left rather than right. We found a spot with a relatively clear view of the sky and horizon, and we all scrambled out of the car before the light was gone. Then I turned my sister-in-law into a light stand. 🙂 She held the flash with a makeshift modifier, and we managed to capture one shot as traffic whizzed by and wondered what the three crazy ladies were doing! Anything for the shot, right?!

Congratulations, Sam! It’s so great to see the woman you’re becoming, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes you.

Philadelphia Area Baby Photographer | L is One!

This family. They’re so great—since I met them almost five years ago, they’ve treated me as one of their own. So it’s kind of bittersweet that L has turned one and we’ve finished his baby plan (check out his newborn and six month sessions). We had a great time at his one-year session, though!

We started off at the park, and then headed home for a little cake smash action. Can you tell the theme of his first birthday party? He’s definitely got the aviator look goin’ on! And what a sweetheart he is—his mom was holding him, and I walked toward them. As I got close, he leaned toward me so we could bump foreheads. So cute!

Thank you, R family, for inviting me into your home and your lives to document your family’s growth. It’s truly an honor, and I look forward to working with you again!

Philadelphia Area Newborn Photographer | V

This little man was an absolute dream to work with! He was nine days old, and just shy of seven pounds. As long as the space heater was nearby, he just snoozed and snoozed for us.

I just love his little smile in the first image. What do you suppose he was dreaming about?

His mom is my hair colorist, and his dad plays bass and guitar. So we had to give him a bit of a rocker faux-hawk in the bottom photo. We got some photos with Dad’s guitar, too, but I’m saving those for their gallery. 🙂
