Main Line Maternity Photographer: Colorful Maternity

Last Saturday I met the D family in their beautiful home. Their colorful walls gave us some really great backdrops for our session, and I knew we had to use the green wall the moment I saw it. It’s in the nursery, and this banner was waiting to be hung in the pirate-themed room. Texas the beagle decided he needed to be in the shot too, and struck a pose. I didn’t intend for the banner to be a message to him, but I think it’s appropriate, don’t you?

The green wall is even great in black and white. I just love the feeling of this photo.

And finally, the perfectly round, beautiful belly.

T and C, it was great to meet you last weekend. I hope you’re enjoying your time with your house guest (Hi, T’s mom!), and I can’t wait to meet your little boy.

Chester County Child Photographer: Sweet Z

I first met Miss Z when she was about three weeks old. On Saturday, I met her and her parents at an area park for our third photo shoot. She’s grown so much—especially her hair! And what a sweetheart she is. She has a pretty big vocabulary already, and she kept asking if she could go to the “paygow” (playground). We put her off for a few minutes while we did some other shots, and FINALLY we said to her, “Would you like to go to the playground now?” She said (in a tiny, sweet voice): “Okay.” So we did!

About halfway through the session, she called for hair and make-up (okay, it was actually her mom’s idea), and I captured this adorable look:

And finally, one more playground shot. I’d pay someone NOT to take a photo of me in this position! But it’s cute when you’re not-quite-two, and I think it’s really representative of this age. It definitely took some effort for her to climb those stairs, and I imagine her parents see her back (and backside) quite often as she becomes more independent and begins exploring her world.

C and K, I really enjoyed my time with you on Saturday. I love being able to document Miss Z’s growth, and I’m looking forward to meeting your new addition!

Main Line Maternity Photographer: Trey’s on the way!

A few days ago I met J & P at J’s parents’ house for a maternity session. J’s mom was SO tolerant of all my requests! “Can we move this (huge sectional) couch? How about this valance—can we take it down for a few minutes?” We put everything back, and I can only hope it was up to her standards! 🙂

The photos from this session ran the gamut—we did some indoor studio shots . . . just look at that PERFECT belly!

And we did some backlit shots in front of the window (hence the need to take down the valance!).

Then we moved outside into the beautifully landscaped yard, and J & P’s first “kids” joined us for a few shots.

And finally . . . I “caught” J as she emerged from the outhouse (don’t worry—they do have indoor plumbing!). Such a good sport!

Thank you, J & P, for your willingness to try some crazy things. I can’t wait to meet little T!

Chester County Child Photographer: Two!

Would you look at that face?! SO stinkin’ cute. My session with G-man was on his second birthday. We met at a local park, and his mom and I literally chased him all over the place. He’s a little bundle of energy, and I imagine he goes and goes until he collapses. K, I don’t know how you do it! 🙂

G is a beautiful boy. Just look at those gorgeous eyes and lips—he’s going to be a heart breaker someday!

K, here are a few more shots for you to enjoy while I finish proofing your session. Thanks so much for inviting me to photograph G on his special day. It was great to meet you both!
