Sunday Project | [Chester County Photographer]

A few weeks ago, The Pioneer Woman posted a recipe for homemade glazed doughnuts on her cooking site. My friend Mary suggested that a few of us get together and try our hand at making them. Unfortunately, our other friend Pat was sick and couldn’t make it, but she reaped the rewards when Mary delivered some to her house.

We documented the whole process; here’s the rolling out, cutting, and rising process.

After they were fried, we finished them in a variety of ways: glazed, cinnamon sugar, chocolate frosted, and glazed with drizzles of chocolate. They were yummy!

And finally . . . this is what my kitchen looked like when it was all said and done. Yikes! Thankfully, the cleanup was pretty easy.

What a fun day! If you think I’ve put on a few pounds the next time you see me, now you know why!

Betsy Barron - YUM-MY! That is a great shoot idea, and you can eat the result! I knew I was friends with you guys for a reason – you’re smart cookies! Great shots – esp the one of the kitchen post mortem.
