Busy | [Main Line Child Photographer]

Oh boy, does the title of this post describe this little guy! At two, he’s always on the go. I think Mom might have worried that we didn’t get anything good, but as I told her as we finished up, “A photo session always looks much different from how it feels at the time.” No worries, Mom—of course we got some beautiful photos!

Those of you who’ve been following the blog for a while will remember L from his six-month portraits in August of 2008. He just keeps getting more handsome!

D and M, thanks so much for inviting me back to work with you and L. What a sweetheart he is! I’ll be in touch soon with your full gallery.

Weekend Fun | [Chester County Children’s Photographer]

My husband and I just got home from a long weekend trip to North Carolina. We were excited to be there for his twin nephews’ high school graduation, and of course I had to take some snapshots after the ceremony was over. The sun was just setting behind me, and the light was b-e-a-u-tiful!

Our previous trip to NC was when S and J’s big brother graduated three years ago, and he was there to celebrate with them.

As long as we were in the neighborhood (so to speak), we drove about 40 minutes to visit one of my best friends from my hometown in Minnesota! Her husband grilled some chicken for our lunch, and then we took the kids outside for some portraits. The kids (and the husband!) were troopers, because it was H-O-T.

And finally, I couldn’t forget the families’ dogs! The kids’ dog is on the left, and the guy on the right belongs to the graduates.

It was a long drive, but totally worth it as we got to celebrate with family and catch up with old friends.

F-A-M-I-L-Y | [Philadelphia Area Family Photographer]

I met the nicest family last weekend! We got together in Philadelphia for their portraits, and we had a great time. Each of the kids brought an item that was meaningful to them, and that helped make their photos more personal and unique.

First, there was N. She loves to read, and I “caught” her with her nose in a book. Isn’t she beautiful? G. is seven and loves her dolls (you can see her “baby” in the family shot below), but she was also wearing heels for the very first time. So of course I had to document that special occasion!

Little L. is seven months old, and the family calls him their miracle baby because he was born prematurely and only weighed one pound at birth. Just look how far he’s come! He must’ve had that little angel looking out for him.

We also captured several photos of the whole family, and this is one of my favorites:

I and R, thank you so much for inviting me to photograph your family. It was wonderful to meet all of you, and I’ll be in touch soon with your full gallery!

Sweet New Storyboards | [Chester County Photographer]

I have to admit that it always makes me a bit sad to see the images that clients don’t pick. I completely understand, of course—you only have so much wall space, after all! But the collection of images tells the story of your session and your family, and I think sometimes that gets lost when you only print a few. So I’ve created a new way for you to keep them together and display them all in one place.

You pick the images, I put them together, and we print as a 20×20 mounted print or canvas. Easy peasy, and so cool!
