Just look at this sweet, sweet girl. She was so good to me at our session—she slept nearly the entire time. You may remember her parents from their maternity session back in July. With parents like that, is it any wonder she’s so gorgeous?! In fact, she posed for us with a photo from the maternity session:

Then we went into her bedroom and she got very comfy on this big white bear. I just love her little foot up by her chin in this shot!

And finally, Dad was holding her while I set up for the next shot. When I saw the light at the window in their bedroom, I called Mom over and got a few images of the new family together.

E and R, thank you so much for inviting me to share this exciting time in your lives. It was wonderful to meet R and the rest of your family, and I really enjoyed working with you. I’ll be in touch soon with your gallery!

What a Difference a Year Makes | [Chester County Baby Photographer]

Here he was a year ago (remember this gorgeous couch?):

And here he is today:

20090920-2

What a difference a year makes, huh? He’s grown so much! When I saw a framed photo of the newborn shot above on the end table next to the couch, I knew we had to repeat it. What a fun comparison!

After the couch photos we went outside on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Would you look at those brown eyes? And . . . would you believe I didn’t do anything to them in Photoshop? That’s exactly how they look in real life!

20090920-1

Mom had brought home some pumpkins and mums, and L had a great time checking them out. If you look closely at the photo on the right, you can see that he’s standing unassisted. It won’t be long before he’s off and running!

20090920-3

C and J, it was really fun working with you again this year. L is such a sweetheart, and I appreciate the opportunity to document these milestones in his life. I’ll be in touch soon with your gallery!

Big Guy | [Main Line Baby Photographer]

20090919-1

Yesterday, I met up with this big guy for his one-year session. I think he liked me a little bit better this time than he did when he stuck his tongue out at me six months ago. You’ve also seen his newborn photos here on the blog.

He’d just had his first haircut, and he looks like such a little man! First we went on campus at a local university, and he found a fountain to play in. Leave it to a little boy to always find the water!

Then we played a little peek-a-boo, and he had a snack. Rumor has it he’s a Goldfish addict. I can neither confirm nor deny that rumor, but as they say . . . photos don’t lie. 🙂 I also had a little fun with the wide angle lens in the shot on the right to make him look like an even bigger guy!

20090919-2

We even found this tractor at the university, and I’m told his grandpa will really like this next shot.

20090919-3

And finally, we headed back home and got out the cake. I guess he couldn’t wait for the real thing, because he thought my prop hat looked pretty tasty! But he quickly abandoned it in favor of the yummy cake his mom made. It’s just not a party unless you have frosting on your toes!

D family, it’s been so great working with the three of you this past year! I hope the party today was a success, and I’ll be in touch soon when your gallery is ready!

Beach Baby | [Philadelphia Area Baby Photographer]

20090912-4

As I edit this session, I find myself cracking up over this little guy. You’ll see why in a minute, but first . . . a little stroll down memory lane. Remember him as a newborn? And how about as a six-month old? He just keeps getting cuter!

And I think he’s going to be a troublemaker! 🙂 This series of images makes me laugh every time. The sand wasn’t quite as tasty as he thought it might be, and the “sand-eating” grin in the third shot just caps it off.

20090912-3

You can’t have a birthday without cake, right? I think his parents and I had nearly as much fun as he did with the cake smash portion of the session. He was loving it! I couldn’t choose just one or two images for this—you have to see the entire progression.

J and P, it’s been so great working with you this past year! I’ve really enjoyed watching T grow and spending time with the three of you. Enjoy the big party next weekend, and I’ll be in touch soon with your gallery!
